An official delegation from Timor-Leste visited the Saudi pavilion today, led by the Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, as well as Minister of Defence and former President, and was received by Mr Abdulhamid Hasan, the Saudi Pavilion Director.

 

Among the delegation, His Excellency Olimpio Miranda Branco, Timor-Leste Ambasador to China and Gloria de Castro, pavilion Director were accompanying the Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Minister of Timor-Leste and his delegation were first invited to enjoy Arabic coffee and dates in the VIP lounge, then started a guided tour of the Saudi pavilion. They experienced the unique “Treasure Hall Cinema” and the magnificent rooftop “Arabian Oasis”. They were also delighted to attend a  traditional performance of the Saudi folkloric troup on the pavilion’s stage.

 

After the visit, His Excellency Mr. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao declared it was “a marvelous occasion to know the greatness of Saudi Arabia” and he was presented with a special gift.

Saudi Pavilion Praised for Success at the Largest World Expo in History

Chinese President Hu Jintao visited the Saudi pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 on Thursday.

September 23rd marks the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by its founder King Abdulaziz Al Saud and the beginning of the journey of development and growth of the land of the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah AL-Munawwarah.

Saudi Arabia is displaying the Tent City of Mina in the Urban Best Practices Area for the first time as an innovative and life-improving urban experiment.
