Mohammad Abdu is a musician that has left a mark on the Arab musical scene, and today he left his mark in Shanghai by visiting the Saudi Arabia pavilion in Expo 2010 few days before Expo comes to an end. Saudi pavilion Comessioner General, Dr. Abdurahman Al-Ashaikh, and Director Mr. Abdulhamid Hasan, in addition to the pavilion’s senior staff and Saudi fans welcomed Abdu in the VIP reception hall with Arabic coffee and dates.
Mr. Abdu was given a guided tour of the pavilion through the walkthrough cinematic experience where he watched the film about Saudi Arabia on the 1600 square meter screen. He then enjoyed the rooftop “Arabian Oasis”, displaying a traditional Bedouin tent surrounded by palm trees and overlooking Expo park and Shanghai city skyline.
During his journey in the “Moon Boat”, Mohammad Abdu was impressed by the unforgettable journey the Saudi pavilion offers to its visitors. He expressed his feelings in the guest book, writing poetically: “This pen cannot provide enough ink to inscribe the words that describe its beauty”.
Pointing out to the work accomplished by Saudi decision-makers for this pavilion and the patriotism he felt as a countryman, he added: “I congratulate myself and every person who has contributed to this project at Expo 2010 Shanghai”. |
