His Excellency Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, Minister of Industry and National Economy of Sudan visited the Saudi pavilion today. He was received by Saudi Pavilion Director, Mr. Abdulhamid Hasan.

H.E. Dr. Al-Jaz first visited the “Treasure Hall Cinema” on its conveyor belt moving through a huge 1600-square-meter immersive screen, which shows a film reflecting the Kingdom’s cultural and geographic diversity and its development. The Minister proceeded to the “Arabian Oasis” on the Moon Boat’s rooftop, where he admired the Bedouin tent set up among palm trees, symbolizing the simple desert life.

After the tour, the Sudanese Minister thanked the pavilion’s staff for their warm welcome as he was presented with a special gift from the pavilion. The minister remarked about his impressions of the pavilion saying: “ I was pleased to visit this admirable exhibit, which is a proud representation of Saudi Arabia”.

Chinese President Hu Jintao visited the Saudi pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 on Thursday.

September 23rd marks the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by its founder King Abdulaziz Al Saud and the beginning of the journey of development and growth of the land of the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah AL-Munawwarah.

Saudi Arabia is displaying the Tent City of Mina in the Urban Best Practices Area for the first time as an innovative and life-improving urban experiment.
