Qatar pavilion national day at Expo 2010 gave an opportunity to His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada , Minister for Energy and Industry Affairs of Qatar, to visit Saudi Arabia’s “Moon Boat” pavilion. Dr Abdulrahman Al-Shaikh, Commissioner General of the Saudi pavilion welcomed his distinguished guest along with an official Qatari delegation and received them in the VIP reception lounge with Arabic coffee and Saudi dates.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaikh took along H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada  on a tour of the Saudi pavilion’s rich displays, leading him first to the pavilion’s stage where the Saudi folklore troup was performing one of their traditional dance routines, proceeding then through the “Treasure Hall” Cinema.

 

Later, H.E. was invited to visit the rooftop of the pavilion and take a look at the traditional Bedouin tent on display among palm trees around the “Arabian Oasis”, as well as the view of the panoramic Shanghai skyline appearing on the other side of the Huangpu river.


After the tour, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada  was presented with a special gift from the Saudi Pavilion and inscribed in the guest book that  he was “Delighted to visit this amazing pavilion that displays the ancient history, the current development and the bright future of the kingdom”

Saudi Pavilion Praised for Success at the Largest World Expo in History

Chinese President Hu Jintao visited the Saudi pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 on Thursday.

September 23rd marks the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by its founder King Abdulaziz Al Saud and the beginning of the journey of development and growth of the land of the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah AL-Munawwarah.

Saudi Arabia is displaying the Tent City of Mina in the Urban Best Practices Area for the first time as an innovative and life-improving urban experiment.
