Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Shanghai

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah ibn 'Abdulaziz, had assigned the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to represent the Kingdom in World Expo Shanghai 2010, “Better Cities, Better Life”, hosted by the People’s Republic of China from May 1^st to October 31^st.

An official delegation from Timor-Leste visited the Saudi pavilion today, led by the Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, as well as Minister of Defence and former President, and was received by Mr Abdulhamid Hasan, the Saudi Pavilion Director.

His Excellency Mr. Sayyid Hamoud Bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman visited the Saudi Pavilion today. He was greeted upon arrival by the Pavilion Director, Mr. Abdulhamid Hasan. They enjoyed Arabic coffee and dates while talking about the Omani Minister’s visit to Expo 2010 Shanghai.

Mohammad Abdu is a musician that has left a mark on the Arab musical scene, and today he left his mark in Shanghai by visiting the Saudi Arabia pavilion in Expo 2010 few days before Expo comes to an end. Saudi pavilion Comessioner General, Dr. Abdurahman Al-Ashaikh, and Director Mr. Abdulhamid Hasan, in addition to the pavilion’s senior staff and Saudi fans welcomed Abdu in the VIP reception hall with Arabic coffee and dates.

Ms. Helen Clark, Administrator of the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) and former Prime Minister of New Zealand paid a visit to the Saudi pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai today. 

The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai received today His Excellency. Dr. Hasan I. H. Abu Libdeh, Minister of National Economy of Palestine where he was welcomed by Mr. Abdulhamid Hasan, pavilion Director.
